Her screams pierced the stillness of the night
Thousands screamed in protest to make it right
Her feet collapsed with paralytic fear
Thousand feet walked with determination and dare
Her hands stretched out in unbearable pain
Thousand hands rose up with placards in the rain
Her mouth muttered incoherent words
Thousand mouths uttered slogans to be heard
Her eyes shed blood and tears
Thousand eyes wept for her agony and fear
Her lips split open wide with torture
Thousand lips pledged for her nurture
Her throat moved with silent prayers
Thousand throats shouted against this nightmare
Her body fell down with lost hope
Thousand bodies rallied on a tightrope
Her life ebbed away in forlorn and despair
Thousand lives awakened to demonstrate and dare
Humanity left us in anguish and distress
Human beings woke up for justice to profess
Her torment, despair, agony continued for the last 15 minutes
But the resounding roar reverberated for years as her tribute
